NEA 2/Water Sports in the Atlantic Area
NEA 2 is a follow-on initiative from NEA 1 and is a transnational European initiative that aims to improve the Water Sports Sector in 23 Atlantic Area Regions/Countries.
17 actions, divided into 4 categories, will be implemented :
- 5 Actions “Marine leisure and economical development”
- 5 Actions “Marine leisure and protection of the environment”
- 4 Actions “Marine leisure and social cohesion”
- 3 Transversal Actions, for example Development and promotion of the Atlantic Water Sports Games.
NEA 2 began implementation on 1st January 2009 and will finish on 31st December 2011. The Project comprises 23 partners from 8 Atlantic Area Regions/Countries: Ireland, South-West, Basse-Normandie, Bretagne, Pays de la Loire, Galicia, Portugal, Andalusia.
